PURPOSE OF THE COMPANY
The late Mr. Pala Kanakaraju, the founder of our family business, started a grocery and brick-and-mortar business in Odalarevu village 60 years ago. Over time, he expanded into the grain trade, procuring large quantities of grain from farmers in neighboring villages and selling them to retail customers. Later, he ventured into the aquaculture business, exporting seafood to major Indian cities such as Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bhadrachalam, and Kakinada. At its peak, around two tons of prawns were exported, providing a livelihood to approximately 10 to 15 families in the village.
As the business grew, it diversified into the coconut trade, leveraging the Konaseema region’s abundant coconut production. By sourcing coconuts from local and neighboring villages, drying them, and packaging coconut copra (dried coconut kernels) for distribution to the Ambajipeta market, the business created additional employment opportunities.
For 43 years, these ventures thrived dynamically and successfully. After a 20-year gap following the closure of these businesses, we are now drawing inspiration from our founders’ achievements to revive and modernize them. With a fresh vision, we aim to integrate innovative techniques into traditional retail practices and expand our ‘PAALA’ brand through e-commerce.

Our company’s primary goal is to establish a strong e-commerce presence under ‘paala.in’ delivering high-quality products nationwide. We source apparel and electronics directly from leading manufacturers and ensure that our seafood products are cleaned and packaged by trained professionals at the Central Institute of Technology. Our objective is to provide fresh seafood, fruits, and vegetables to nearby cities while establishing dark stores to enhance e-commerce logistics, ensuring prompt delivery and creating employment opportunities.
